Pentecostal Churches of Burundi: News

According to a recent report from the Community Pentecostal Churches of Burundi (CEPBU), this church has about a dozen churches throughout Burundi. They have their main head 26 pastors. Five of the fifteen churches were over 50. 000 members including two of their more than 90. 000 members. The same report the Pentecostal Church of Burundi has more than 800,000 thousand.

Church of Burundi continues to grow.

If we take the example of the Church which was zero at the booth in 1930 and 220,000 in the 1990s, one is amazed to see that she has more than 800,000 in 2010! Pastors Henry Staelgren Olof and that gave us an interview in Brussels in 2007 (see our posts of August of that year), were eyewitnesses to these developments with which they will (with others, I think their wives in particular) a lot contributed. We hope we can soon make available to you via the Internet of the sound element of maintenance.

As I write this text book on " The Pentecostal movement, an alternative community in southern Burundi, 1935 - 1960" has been published in Sweden.
